Ms. Selinsky’s 7th-grade accelerated math students brought geometry to life through an exciting Dance Dance Revolution–themed lesson focused on identifying and applying angle relationships. As music played, students moved across a floor grid marked with various angle representations and had to place their feet on the correct spots showing vertical, adjacent, complementary, or supplementary angles. This interactive approach encouraged quick thinking, collaboration, and plenty of laughs as students checked their reasoning in real time. SLWK-8 eighth grade students recently had the exciting opportunity to tour the Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs offered at SLW Centennial High School. During the visit, students explored a variety of pathways designed to prepare them for college, careers, and real-world success. Weatherbee Elementary School is proud to partner with United Way of St. Lucie and Okeechobee to provide impactful enrichment groups that support the whole child. Through this partnership, our 5th-grade students are participating in an engaging novel study during small-group sessions. Our Rockets earned top honors, and Palm Pointe captured the District Regional STEM Fair Junior Division Champion Trophy for the third consecutive year.
