Hispanic Heritage Festival and Fundraiser – Nov. 18

Educators coming together to help educators is the underlying theme of this year’s annual West Gate K8 Hispanic Heritage Festival and Fundraiser scheduled for Saturday, November 18th on the school’s campus located at 1050 NW Cashmere Blvd. in Port Saint Lucie.  Community members are invited to enjoy music, games, live performances, and a variety of food from 1PM to 5PM. LPA’s Jazz Combo Sets Positive Tone

The Lincoln Park Academy Jazz Combo performed as the opening act for Grammy-nominated and award-winning Najee on November 4th, 2017 at the Sunrise Theater. Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, Eta Eta Omega Chapter under the Pink Rose Foundation Inc., held its annual scholarship fundraiser at the Sunrise Theater. Vice President of the Pink Rose Foundation and Event Chairperson Michelle Jerger said, “The students have amazing talents and are extremely professional.  They set the tone for a successful evening.”  Jerger also commended the leadership of Band Director Jason Albert.

On Saturday November 11, test drive a new Buick and help St. Lucie West Centennial High School located at 1485 Cashmere Boulevard in Port St. Lucie receive up to $10,000. Garber Buick GMC in Ft. White City Elementary Partners with Community

White City Elementary  is partnering with the community.  The residents of the Lake Forest Park Villa Association provided a lobster dinner to support White City Elementary School. A special thank you goes out to the Lake Forest Park Villa Association for supporting White City Elementary.  Proceeds will be used to purchase school supplies for the teachers and students of White City Elementary.

Southport Middle School Sixth Grade Retreat

Southport Middle School’s sixth grade students enjoyed an engaging, positive, and busy day at our annual Sixth Grade Student Retreat. This year’s theme was respect. To begin the day, students met in the gym to give each other positive affirmations in an unusual game of “musical” chairs. They were then split into small groups with adult team leaders and sent out to participate in various team building activities throughout the day to play games and take part in small group discussions. Caroline Duran, Art Teacher at Lincoln Park Academy has once again qualified as a Florida Art Education Association (FAEA) Member Virtual Exhibition Winner.  Ms. Duran was recognized by the FAEA and her peers at this year’s conference held at the St. Petersburg Museum of Fine Arts on October 18th, where she received the Pacon Award for her entry, “Terra Nova,” a ceramic sculpture surfaced with acrylic paint. The 3rd annual “Lights on Afterschool” expo held on  Thursday,  October 12th at the Fort Pierce Police Athletic League (PAL) was a success.
