Fairlawn Elementary kindergarten students marked an exciting milestone as they celebrated the 100th day of school with our much-loved annual celebration. The day was filled with smiles, laughter, and hands-on learning as students rotated through outdoor stations designed around counting to 100. 100 Club At Village Green

Congratulations to Village Green’s 100 Club Members! We are so proud of our students and teachers who achieved an incredible milestone by scoring 100% on their Unit and District Tests. To celebrate this achievement, our talented students and dedicated teachers gathered at Celebration Station to enjoy a special treat. A big shoutout goes to the teachers, who earned a special gold star for having the most participants in the 100 Club! Your hard work and encouragement play a significant role in our students’ success.

100 Book Challenge Celebration

Averi Sams-Wilson and Micaela Goulet  from Mr. Zakrajsek’s kindergarten class reached their winter reading goal for the 100 Book Challenge.  Five hundred sixty-eight students from Allapattah Flats celebrated reaching their goals with hot chocolate, cookies, and a movie.  Students also received bracelets to mark their steps.

​TCHS International Business students presented in a Shark Tank adult presentation format in between adult presenters seeking millions of dollars!  Students presented their business ideas or concepts and were questioned. The opportunity was open to all SLC students after extensive after school work and winning the semi finals.  Those who made it to the finals presented at the Business Opportunity Showcase on April 23, and all 9 finalists were TCHS International Business Students. Manatee Students Enjoy Being in the Media Center!

Boy, do we have fun in the library! Miss Alicia and Miss Victoria from the SLC Public Library brought cool books and library cards for all of the first grade students at Manatee Academy. Mrs. Remington invited county librarians to visit Manatee Academy as part of “Library Card Sign-up Month.” Students enjoyed listening, interacting, and being a part of the story telling with the county librarians.

Southport Students Connecting with the Community

The sixth-grade students at Southport Middle School extended their thanks to residents in our Port St. Lucie community with hand-crafted cards, bookmarks and blankets as part of a school-wide service project. The celebration began outside the media center where students welcomed the residents of Harbor Place Assisted Living, residents of Ballentrae and members of Holy Family Church with an “Appreciation Tunnel.”  Once they arrived to their destination, the students enjoyed conversation with their guests and gave their personalized gifts of kindness to them.  Everyone enjoyed the entertainment the students provided through skits and a musical ensemble. Southport Middle School Students Receive a Healthy Treat and Nutritious Lesson

Southport’s cafeteria staff delivered a healthy treat to Mrs. Sharon Dudash’s students along with a nutritious lesson on how plants grow. After finishing up a project on seeds in their class, Cafeteria Manager Eileen Kielbasa presented a lesson on how plants grow using Florida grown vegetables from the Farm to School initiative. The students got to see the seeds inside the vegetables, and enjoyed a healthy snack later in the afternoon. Celebrating Successes!
