Fort Pierce Central High School is proud to announce the launch of its brand-new Unified Bowling Team, which made its debut in Orlando on Thursday, September 24, for their very first competitive meet! Centennial Peer Navigators Coach Freshman Seminar Classes

During a freshman seminar class, the Student Peer Navigators led an engaging activity using the “Rock, Pebbles, and Sand” metaphor to help new students understand the importance of prioritizing their time and responsibilities. In this activity, the “rocks” represented the most important commitments—like family, health, and academics. The “pebbles” stood for secondary priorities such as extracurriculars or part-time jobs, while the “sand” symbolized the small, everyday distractions. SLW Centennial High School students and staff came together to celebrate a vibrant and memorable Homecoming Week from September 22 through September 27. The week was packed with themed dress-up days that brought creativity and fun to campus, including Tropical Day, Heroes vs. Villains, Throwback to a Decade, Soccer Mom vs. Barbeque Dad, and Spirit Day. On Friday, September 19th, 2025, the SLW Centennial HS Navy JROTC Black Talon Company participated in a Candle Lighting Ceremony hosted by the Vietnam Veterans Association of the Treasure Coast.   The Ceremony is done to honor those warriors who have lost their lives, or have gone “Missing In Action” (MIA), or have been captured as “Prisoners of War” (POW) during our country’s wars and battles. SPMS Hosts Their First PBIS Event of the Year

Southport Middle School held its first PBIS event on Friday to reward students with no referrals for the past few weeks. Eligible students were able to choose from a variety of fun activities, including board games, arts and crafts, a movie room, gym free time, outdoor play, and tech games. CAST fifth-grade teachers and students “kicked” off our September PBIS events with a kickball game. Fort Pierce Westwood Veterinary Assisting CTE Update

Our students have been off to a busy start this year. Local veterinarians Dr. Adams and Dr. Smith from Midway Veterinary Hospital visited to perform annual exams on our classroom cats, giving students hands-on experience with physical exams. We also kicked off our Panther Paws Friday Pup Spa Days, where staff bring their dogs for baths, grooming, and playtime. First-grade students at Allapattah Flats K-8 have been joyfully exploring Hispanic Heritage Month! Their excitement was evident as they learned about the rich cultures and traditions of Hispanic countries. Creative Arts Academy of St. Lucie welcomed new members into the Florida Junior Thespian Society, an honorary organization for middle school students (grades 6-8) who participate in theatre arts programs. SLW Centennial Students Caught Having Fun In History Class

Students in Mr. Swalwell’s World History class are currently preparing for their first vocabulary test, which focuses on key terms related to the Byzantine Empire and Arab Civilizations. To help reinforce their understanding, students worked collaboratively in small groups, actively matching vocabulary words with their correct definitions. This interactive approach encouraged discussion and peer learning.
