Students rotate through the school hallways, parent pickup,  and cafeteria to learn or be reminded about  the expectations and Code of Conduct so they can SOAR through the year!  Thank you Deb Hitsman, administration, and the presentation team for a wonderful presentation!

Savanna Ridge Kindergarten is the Place to Be!

Kindergarten students in Mrs. Christopher’s Kindergarten class at Savanna Ridge Elementary were excited for their first day of school.  Mrs. Christopher welcomed them with open arms and enjoyed taking a first day of school picture to capture the special day!

Northport VPK-8 School and Community Welcome Families Back to School!

Northport VPK-8 School on Floresta Drive in Port Saint Lucie welcomed back well over one thousand students on Monday, August 17. The morning was the culmination of a solid week of planning and preparation on the part of the administration, teachers and staff. St. Lucie Public Schools and CWA Union Reach Agreement

Through collaborative bargaining efforts, St. Lucie Public Schools (SLPS) and Communication Workers of America (CWA), Local 3181 reached an agreement for compensation. “I commend our teams for working diligently to reach an agreement prior to the start of our school year. We appreciate all of our staff members for the contributions they make to the safe and caring learning environments for our students,” said Superintendent E. Wayne Gent. Agreement Reached With St. Lucie Public Schools and Unions

St. Lucie Public Schools (SLPS) reached a positive agreement today with its Classroom Teachers Association (CTA) and Classified Unit (CU) partners. Superintendent E. Wayne Gent stated, “We value the committed educational professionals who dedicate themselves to teaching our students and accelerating their learning. New Leaders Named for Two K-8 Schools

ST. LUCIE COUNTY: St. Lucie Public Schools Superintendent E. Wayne Gent announced that Kim Jay, a recognized literacy leader in the school district, will serve as Allapattah Flats’ new principal, and Eldrique Gardner will bring his expertise in educational leadership to the campus of St. Lucie West K-8 as its new principal. Teachers are Learners at Fairlawn

Teachers gave up some of their summer break to take part in a STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math) training. Teachers worked together to create STEM Design challenges that allow students to solve real-world problems. They designed lessons that will give students the opportunities to collaborate with peers, design a model and test the model for effectiveness.
