On Saturday, December 15, 12 cadets from Treasure Coast High School AFJROTC volunteered to help Wreaths Across America at Rolling Oaks Cemetery, 2200 SW Del Rio Blvd. Port St. Lucie. There, they remembered and honored our fallen veterans through the laying of Remembrance Wreaths on the graves of our country’s veteran heroes. Wrapped in Gratitude Thanks to the National Guard

Our Jaguar Battalion would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the National Guard for their generous contribution to our JROTC program. Their support has made a tremendous impact on our cadets and the opportunities we are able to provide. With their donation, we were able to rewrap our JROTC trailer, giving it a fresh new look that proudly represents who we are as a battalion. WPE’s Animal House Takes First Place

Windmill Point Elementary Odyssey of the Mind Teams celebrated a 1st and 3rd place finish in this year’s competition! WPE Odyssey

Congratulations to Windmill Point Elementary’s Odyssey of the Mind Team that competed at the State Competition held at UCF! Their project held 305 pounds! Thank you to Mr. Caroglanian for working with his team! Way to go, Rising Stars!  

WPBF’s Weather Program Visits Mariposa Elementary

Cris Martinez’s weather program from WPBF News Channel 25 visted Mariposa Elementary’s fifth graders. The students kicked off the weather program with a rap they wrote and choreographed about how hurricanes form. Next, Mr. Martinez discussed and interactively presented how tornadoes form and how they affect us in Florida. Rebecca Sampson was interviewed by Cris Martinez; she explained how much she enjoyed his interactive presentations. It was a great learning experience for our fifth graders!

WPBF Weather Class Rolls In and Makes Some Noise at WPE

Wounded Warrior Surf Day Color Guard

On August 12, 2017, the Port St. Lucie High School Jaguar Battalion Color Guard presented the colors to a group of 32 wounded veterans. The Jaguar color guard marched to welcome and honor the wounded veterans on the 6th Annual Wounded Warrior Surf Day Project, a day marked to enjoy surfing at the Fort Pierce Inlet State Park.

World Trade Center Tribute

By: Kaylee Zuidema September 11th is a day to have a moment of silence and remember all of the men, women, and children who died in the attack on the World Trade Center; it has been fourteen years since the Twin Towers collapsed. Words Get Dressed Up at Floresta

Floresta Elementary celebrated literacy with a Words Get Dressed Up event. Teachers, staff, and students made Everglades-themed vocabulary words come to life with their costumes and visual representations.  K-2 families came out to enjoy a special parade of words!

Words Get All Dressed Up at Fairlawn Elementary’s Vocabulary Parade!

As part of Fairlawn Elementary’s ongoing effort to increase word recognition among our students, students and staff paraded through the school halls dressed as a host of costumed words.  Families and friends laughed, applauded, and were amazed by our students’ ingenuity!  From pond to precipitation, humble to boastful, students represented words from  science, social studies, math, language arts and character education curriculum.
