On Saturday, April 22nd, students from the Port St. Lucie High School student government hosted a beach cleanup day, while inviting students from throughout campus to participate. Clean beaches and fun in the sun were had by all. This event was made possible by Mr. Austin, Mrs. Duenas, and Mrs. Martin.

On October 18th, the Port St. Lucie High School Jaguar Battalion Raider Team showcased outstanding commitment and training by competing against six other schools in the demanding Southfork Regional Raider Meet. Both the male and female divisions faced identical, rigorous challenges: the 3-mile run, Rope Bridge, CCR (Cross Country Run), Fitness Test, and Fitness Challenge. The accolades and achievements of Port St. Lucie High School (PSLHS) are now housed in a newly remodeled trophy case, thanks to the exceptional skills of students in Mr. Slover’s Technical Design/Carpentry class. This hands-on project has provided a significant, real-world learning experience while simultaneously enhancing the school’s Athletic Hall of Fame. Competing against the top 40 programs in the state, our Cadets demonstrated remarkable endurance, teamwork, and leadership. On Thursday, February 12th, 2026, the Port St. Lucie High School Jaguar Battalion demonstrated exceptional leadership while assisting with the Freshman Open House. A total of 14 Cadets contributed to the event’s success, handling various responsibilities throughout the day. On Thursday, March 12, the Port St. Lucie Jaguar Battalion reached a significant milestone by completing the JROTC Program of Accreditation (JPA) inspection. This high-stakes evaluation, conducted every three years, was overseen by Ms. Atkins, an official evaluator from Fort Benning, Georgia. On December 7, 2018, Port St. Lucie High School’s Army JROTC Battalion’s Raider Team participated in an overnight Wilderness Survival Campout at Camp Tanah Keeta. Cadets who were invited participated in several activities including canoeing, rope bridge, roasting marshmallows by a bonfire, making tin foil meals, and playing team bonding games. Cadets enjoyed hot chocolate and sandwiches for breakfast before cleaning up camp to head home.  

On January 19, 2026, the Port Saint Lucie High School Jaguar Battalion proudly participated in the annual parade commemorating the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Approximately 150 Cadets marched the three-mile route along Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, beginning at Lincoln Park Academy and concluding at Lawnwood Elementary School. Leading the formation was the Battalion Commander, c/LTC Rebecca Guison, accompanied by the Battalion Staff. On March 26, 2026, the Port St. Lucie High School Jaguar Battalion successfully hosted its fourth blood drive of the school year. In partnership with ONEBLOOD, the event saw 35 students, faculty, and staff members participate, potentially saving up to 84 lives.  Cadets played an essential role in the drive’s success by managing various logistics. Key responsibilities included checking in donors to verify eligibility, acting as “runners” to escort students to and from their classes, and monitoring donors in the recovery area. On Wednesday, March 25th, 2026, the Port St. Lucie High School JROTC Jaguar Battalion held its 33rd Annual Award Ceremony. The purpose of this award ceremony was to award deserving Cadets for their service, loyalty, personal appearance, character, and knowledge of JROTC, as well as their outstanding achievements in and outside of the program. Select Cadets were recognized by different Veteran organizations such as MOAA, Vietnam Veterans of America, Korean War Veterans, etc. More awards will also be given to the Cadets during the Company inspection.  The ceremony was a success as there were over 40 awards given to top-performing cadets for their outstanding achievements.

The Port St. Lucie High School Jaguar Battalion recently enjoyed a well‑earned reward trip to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay on April 25, 2026. This exciting experience recognized the dedication, discipline, and consistent hard work Cadets have shown throughout the school year in academics, leadership, community service, and program standards.  The trip included park admission, all‑day dining, and transportation, allowing Cadets to fully enjoy a day of thrilling rides and attractions. The Jaguar Battalion conducted its annual Field Day on May 9, 2026. This event is designed to promote esprit de corps, encourage friendly competition, and determine the Battalion’s top-performing Company. Cadets reported at 7:30 AM in physical training (PT) gear and prepared for the day’s activities under the supervision of their respective Company command teams. Once accountability and instructions were completed, Cadets participated in a series of athletic events that tested physical endurance, coordination, and teamwork. Held at O’Reilly’s Auto Parts on US HWY 1, the dedicated young leaders demonstrated exceptional discipline and teamwork throughout the day.  The Cadets thoroughly enjoyed the experience, which was filled with laughter, camaraderie, and a shared sense of purpose. They embraced the opportunity to bond while engaging with local donors. On September 17, 2025, the Port Saint Lucie High School Jaguar Battalion hosted its first Blood Drive of the year, making a significant impact by helping save over 132 lives in collaboration with OneBlood. A total of 44 students, teachers, and staff members participated in the event. Cadets were assigned different roles to ensure the blood drive ran smoothly.
