Port St. Lucie High School Jaguar Pride on Display

Jaguar Carpentry Updates the PSLHS Trophy Case

The accolades and achievements of Port St. Lucie High School (PSLHS) are now housed in a newly remodeled trophy case, thanks to the exceptional skills of students in Mr. Slover’s Technical Design/Carpentry class. This hands-on project has provided a significant, real-world learning experience while simultaneously enhancing the school’s Athletic Hall of Fame.

The student-led renovation showcases the practical application of career and technical education. Under the guidance of their instructor, Mr. Slover, the carpentry students planned, designed, and executed the complete overhaul of the display. The finished product not only provides a modern and professional home for decades of Jaguar trophies but also serves as a point of pride and a visible testament to the capabilities of current students.

“We are immensely proud of the work our carpentry students have invested in this project,” said Nicole Telese, Principal of Port St. Lucie High School. “This wasn’t just a class assignment; it was an opportunity for our students to leave a lasting legacy on their campus. It speaks volumes about the value of hands-on learning and the incredible talent we have right here at PSLHS.”

The remodeled trophy case is prominently located across from the gym for all students, staff, and visitors to admire. This project highlights Port St. Lucie High School’s commitment to providing robust Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs that equip students with valuable, real-world skills.
