History Fair Projects Judged This Thursday

ST. LUCIE COUNTY – Two hundred history fair projects focused on this year’s theme of “Taking a Stand in History” will be judged by local dignitaries at IRSC’s Kight Center this Thursday. Students from across the District have researched, analyzed, and interpreted information on the topic. Historic Gains in Graduation Rates for St. Lucie Public Schools

ST. 9/11 Art Tribute Serves to Beautify City Utility Boxes

St. Lucie Public Schools Expands Community Eligibility Provision Program

ST. LUCIE COUNTY – For the third year in a row, St. Lucie Public Schools (SLPS) continues to include the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program in schools that qualify.  According to Child and Nutrition Services Director Deborah Wuest, this year the District was able to expand the program to sixteen schools.  Last year 10 schools received the benefit of this program that enables all students to receive breakfast and lunch at no cost.   Wuest explained that a number of factors must be closely analyzed and reviewed by the USDA before a school is identified as a qualifying CEP site.  … Read More

Treasure Coast High School Graduate Wins National Scholarship

PORT ST. LUCIE, FL – Hard work has paid off for Alexandra Artiles, a community-minded and academically involved graduate of Treasure Coast High School.  Artiles has been named as one of 300 national semifinalists in the National Honor Society Scholarship program.  She was selected from more than 25,000 applicants and will receive a $1,500 scholarship.   This accomplished high honors graduate received her St. Lucie Public Schools (SLPS) high school diploma in May.  As a Treasure Coast Titan and dedicated member of the National Honor Society chapter, she participated in the Cambridge University Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) Program.  … Read More

Students Participate in Valuable Internships with St. Lucie Public Schools

St. Lucie Public Schools Surpass State Average in Schools Demonstrating Letter Grade Increase

ST.
