SLPS extends warm thanks to the Law Office of Jules-Toussaint, LLC in Port St. Lucie for sponsoring the donation of turkeys to many migrant families in our county.

St. Lucie Public Schools (SLPS) is extending the adoption of an innovative mobile device app and website entitled Here Comes the Bus.  Five more schools are coming on board with this user friendly tool that allows parents and authorized caregivers to view the real-time location of their child’s school bus on a smartphone, tablet or computer. The aroma of baked goods fills the air as families and friends gather for the holidays. The same thing is taking place in our schools as our staff and students teach and learn about the season’s traditions.  We find many schools participating in food drives, hosting concerts, and enjoying special luncheons to welcome the season of Thanksgiving. The Lincoln Park Academy Jazz Combo performed as the opening act for Grammy-nominated and award-winning Najee on November 4th, 2017 at the Sunrise Theater. Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, Eta Eta Omega Chapter under the Pink Rose Foundation Inc., held its annual scholarship fundraiser at the Sunrise Theater. Vice President of the Pink Rose Foundation and Event Chairperson Michelle Jerger said, “The students have amazing talents and are extremely professional.  They set the tone for a successful evening.”  Jerger also commended the leadership of Band Director Jason Albert.
