St. Lucie West Centennial High School students had the opportunity to go to IRSC on November 2nd to tour the campus. Students learned about the different programs offered at IRSC. Eagles planning for their future!
The SLW Centennial High School Key Club helped the Fort Pierce Sunrise Kiwanis Club clean Jaycee Park on Saturday, October 28. Thank you EAGLES for making a difference in our community.
Students were rewarded with a Fall Festival that included games, a dunk tank, sporting events, dancing, and other fun activities.

SLW Centennial celebrated Hispanic Heritage month by participating in several activities throughout the month including trivia games, Hispanic recognitions and Hispanic dancing during lunches.

On October 5th, Mr. Nichols’s Criminal Justice 3 class at Centennial had guest speakers from the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Department visit them. Sgt. Billy Morash, Sgt. Woods, and Sgt. Richardson from the Criminal Investigation Unit, spoke with students about how the division is comprised, and what it takes to be a Crime Scene Investigator. The students had a great time and were able to ask questions throughout the program. We are very thankful for the support that we receive from our local Law Enforcement Agencies.
On Tuesday, October 3, SLW Centennial HOSA hosted a blood drive. The blood drive was a huge success! They were able to collect 75 pints with 11 of them being platelets! Overall, it was a great turnout, especially for the first one in years. The blood donations will help to save so many lives!!! Way to go EAGLES!
St. Lucie West Centennial High Nursing Assisting students are working hard towards their certification. They had a successful day at clinicals and will continue to reach for their goals. SLW Centennial High School has partnered with Port St. Lucie Rehab Center to give students hands-on experiences to help students further develop their skills. Go Eagles!!!

Assistant Principal Susan Mannion and school social worker, Shemair Dorelus, paired up to recognize and reward students who are coming to school regularly and on time. They distributed snacks and water at the parent drop offline as students were being dropped off for school.

St. Lucie West Centennial High School student Jazmine Villa participated in the University of Miami and Holy Cross Health Summer Surgical Scholars (S³) Program, a new immersive program for high school students interested in medicine and surgery, this summer. Congratulations to St. Lucie West Centennial High School’s Culinary Arts Academy for earning a prestigious recognition by ProStart. ProStart is a two-year, industry-backed culinary arts and restaurant management program for high school students. ProStart has named SLW Centennial High School a Premier ProStart School. This recognition has been awarded due to the various accomplishments that the students achieved over the course of the last school year. This is the highest ranking that a Culinary Program can have awarded by ProStart. During the Career Connect Conference, SLW Centennial High School student Janelle Palmer won a day with Kelley Higney, CEO of The Bug Bite Thing, a $40 million St. Lucie company that appeared on Shark Tank. Janelle took advantage of the opportunity over the summer and had the opportunity to spend the day learning firsthand about entrepreneurship and running a multi-million dollar business.
SLW Centennial High School Criminal Justice Students in Ms. Baumgarten’s class visited the law library and courthouse in Fort Pierce. Students were given the opportunity to observe a Trespass and Resisting Arrest Trial. It was a great learning experience for the students.
