Surrounded by his softball team, St. Lucie Public Schools staff, and fans, Roger Mathews celebrated his 500th victory as a softball coach on Tuesday, April 4th. He has supported Lincoln Park Academy’s (LPA) Lady Greyhounds round the bases for the last 14 years. Prior to that, he coached softball at Port St. Lucie High School and John Carroll. Health Fair 2017

The event was planned by the Allied Health teachers Elizabeth Durkee and Mary Higgins along with senior students in the Electrocardiograph class. Community partners gathered to inform nearly 2,000 high school students on healthy eating, fitness, health care careers, and teen safety. Kids at Hope Celebrates 10 Years in SLC

Kids at Hope Founder Rick Miller and staff members from St. Lucie Elementary and Weatherbee Elementary celebrate 10 years of Kids at Hope in St. Lucie County. The Roundtable of St. Lucie County and Miller recently facilitated a Kids at Hope symposium in the District where it was proudly announced that 36 schools are trained and actively participating in the program that touts All Children Are Capable Of Success — No Exceptions.  

Manatee Hosts Chamber

Principal Lilly Beauchamp, students, and staff welcomed members of business and community organizations to Manatee Academy as they gathered for the Chamber of Commerce’s Education & Business Breakfast. This event, sponsored by the Education Foundation, provided opportunities for participants to experience first-hand SLPS’s middle school Vet Tech Program, z-space (an interactive virtual reality learning experience), and other elements of digital literacy integrated into students’ academic routines.
