UCF Visits FPC

Last week, our senior students had the privilege of hosting a visit from the University of Central Florida (UCF) in our auditorium. This informative session provided students with crucial insights into UCF’s admission requirements, vibrant campus life, and diverse degree programs. Such university visits play a pivotal role in shaping students’ future academic and professional paths. By exposing students to various higher education institutions, we empower them to make informed decisions about their college journeys. FPC Medical Academy Hosts Blood Drive

Mrs. Charles and her wonderfully selfless team do it again! On Thursday, October 24, the Fort Pierce Central Medical Academy partnered with OneBlood to host a blood drive in the school auditorium. We successfully collected 143 units of blood, with each donation capable of saving three lives. Thanks to our amazing volunteers and donors, we were able to save 429 lives! We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the heroes who boarded the Big Red Buses to donate! Your generous act of kindness will make a huge impact!    

Cobra Nation Honored Red Ribbon Week

On Thursday October 24th, the normally purple and gold flooding Cobra Nation went red for a good cause. Our junior class took an important step towards becoming responsible citizens by completing state-mandated CPR training. By learning lifesaving skills, our students are prepared to make a positive impact on their communities. Central’s Key Club in Pumpkin Season

On a typical sweltering south Florida Friday afternoon, Key Club members helped set up the Pumpkin Patch at the Frist United Methodist Church. The church raises over $40,000 in pumpkin sales to help the community. Way to go FPC Key Club!

FPC Key Club Book Drive

The Fort Pierce Central High School Key Club participated in the Children’s Services Council’s Book Drive. Key Club members collected over 100 books for young readers. The free books are to encourage reading over screen time in locations such as the DMV or Utilities Company where children could be waiting with their families. Key Club members earned an hour of volunteer time for donating a bag of books to the Children’s Service Council. Every child a reader in SLC! Way to go Cobras!

Fort Pierce Central High School’s JROTC team emerged victorious at the annual “Do You Give a Ruck” Raiders Freedom Festival Cadet Competition in Port St. Lucie! Cobra Nation is thrilled to announce that our cadets earned first place in this challenging event, testing endurance, strength, and teamwork. Participants tackled a demanding course, including a 3-mile run/walk followed by a series of physical challenges: pull-ups, push-ups, and sit-ups. Congratulations and Go Cobras!

Cobra Families on Campus for SAC, Title I, ELL/ESOL Resources, and Senior Parent Info Session! FPC families were welcomed onto campus by Key Club members. Beginning at 4:00, the School Advisory Council (SAC) inaugural meeting kicked off a full night of information-packed events. B-I-N-G-O was the game of choice for September’s PBIS lunchtime celebration. Campus PBIS events are a way for students demonstrating positive behaviors, role-modeling responsibility, and following school-wide expectations to earn extra prizes and be rewarded for their exemplary choices. Friday, September, 20th, Fort Pierce Central hosted its annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration staff luncheon.
