No Power, No Problem!
Singing our school’s alma mater on Friday mornings is a weekly tradition at Central. With pride and poise, Cobra Nation braved a campus with no AC and newly restored power on Friday morning after the massive storms from the night before left our campus down two transformers. No PA system didn’t stop FPC’s alma mater from being shared. With light comes more light.
Mr. Harris, Central’s new chorus and vocal music instructor, led his choir into the courtyard for a morning of vibrant triumph. As the voices of FPC chorus rang through the courtyard, Cobra Pride resonated through the campus. Lined up in from of the cafeteria, the choir’s harmonious rendition of our school’s alma mater demonstrated that to be powerful you don’t always need electricity. School spirit is a powerful symbol of community.
At Fort Pierce Central, pride makes the difference. Hearing the voices shared in the early morning air meant that the day would go on, the AC would return, and as Cobras we would prevail. Our alma mater is not just a song. To sing it or hear it exemplifies the pride within and the pride we share. Mr. Harris has instilled the love and dedication of performance and pride through music and the arts. Continuing to nurture our students’ musical talents enhances their deep appreciation for our school. Thank you to Mr. Harris and the FPC choir for uplifting Cobra Nation through song and reminding us that together we will overcome anything.
