FPC Family Night Extravaganza

Cobra Families on Campus for SAC, Title I, ELL/ESOL Resources, and Senior Parent Info Session!

FPC families were welcomed onto campus by Key Club members. Beginning at 4:00, the School Advisory Council (SAC) inaugural meeting kicked off a full night of information-packed events. Following SAC, dinner was prepared and served by Central’s Culinary Arts program in the cafeteria for families to enjoy. In honor of Hispanic Heritage, traditional Latin dishes were created with a variety of meats, toppings, and accompaniments. Thank you to Chefs Strell and Swertfager for their leadership and Cobra Pride!

With plates cleared, families headed to the auditorium to continue the Hispanic cultural celebrations with a captivating Quinceañera presentation by Mrs. Perez-Decker. Five of the young ladies dressed in elegant Quinceañera gowns, walked down the auditorium aisle and were crowned by their parents in a beautiful celebration of Hispanic culture. A Quinceañera marks a young woman’s transition from childhood to adulthood, symbolizing her newfound responsibilities and growth.

Following the Quinceañera event, Mr. Gardner welcomed our families before Mrs. Torres presented vital information regarding our school’s Title I program. Parents and families as valuable stakeholders, are encouraged to engage with the school at every level. Families were informed of their rights, opportunities, and events supporting their students as well as academic goals, expectations, and standards.

Next, senior parents met with Mrs. Armada and Mrs. Robinson to discuss senior events and graduation requirements. Parents and families had opportunities to share, ask questions, and provide feedback on a digital survey.

In the second group, ELL/ESOL families, received valuable resources from our district partners to support their students’ academic and social integration. Welcoming ELL/ESOL families to our campus demonstrates our commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students. Learning starts at home and extends to our community and is emulated in schools. As we support our students and their families, we also engage the community in our efforts to uplift life-long learning.
