Central’s Hispanic Heritage Celebration

Friday, September, 20th, Fort Pierce Central hosted its annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration staff luncheon. Pictured above, Ms. Lyna Soler stands at her door, greeting students adorned in her native Puerto Rican attire before the luncheon. Fort Pierce Central’s Cobra Culinary Arts program put on a remarkable feast of traditional dishes and contemporary renditions of celebrated delights. The Cobra Cafe was decked out in all things Latin, rich with cultural heritage, flags, symbols, iconography, banners, and artwork.

Chefs Strell and Swertfager masterfully prepared their students to cater a large banquet hosted in their café over two lunches. To support the Cobra Café cooked dishes, staff brought in their family favorites and new Latin-inspired creations to share. Posing for pictures as diners enjoyed excellently prepared treats and delicacies made for a memorable and fitting tribute to the wonderful cultures we celebrate this month and all year long. Thank you to everyone who made this magnificent event a true success and a wonderful experience in Cobra Nation.
