Celebrating Literacy Week at Bayshore Elementary

Bayshore Elementary students celebrated Literacy Week by participating in several activities to construct the foundation of success through reading. Students read to their peers using flashlights and participated in a literacy scavenger hunt. Students were given riddles to solve. Clues were posted around the school. We also hosted a community reading day. Texas Roadhouse, community members, and staff read a book to each class. Finally, we ended our week with a book character or vocabulary word parade. Monthly Attendance Challenge at Bayshore Elementary

At Bayshore Elementary, we are excited to recognize and reward excellent attendance through our Monthly Attendance Challenge! Each month, the class with the highest attendance percentage earns the honor of displaying the Attendance Trophy on their classroom door. In addition to the trophy, the winning class also receives class-wide PBIS bucks, which can be used for special rewards and activities. This initiative encourages students to strive for perfect attendance and fosters a sense of teamwork and school spirit. Bayshore’s Second Graders Learn About the Democratic Process

Mrs. Glidden’s class learned about the democratic process of voting during a read aloud story. They chose the character they felt would make the best class president according to their actions in the story. Then completed a ballot vote and received an “I voted” sticker. Results were announced at the end of the day.

Bayshore’s Anti-Bullying Heroes

Students at Bayshore Elementary wore their favorite superhero shirts to stand against bullying. The colorful attire symbolized their commitment to kindness and respect, creating a supportive and inclusive school environment. Together, they showed that everyone can be a hero by standing up for others!

Bayshore’s Students Are Rocking Science

The Earth’s rocks are getting a makeover, courtesy of Mother Nature’s extreme makeover team! Mrs. Enoch’s and Pank’s Writing and Science Lab students simulated the rock cycle with Starburst, turning sediment into sedimentary, metamorphic, and igneous rock – it’s like rock magic! Bayshore’s junior geologists are rocking this science thing!

We were thrilled to welcome our wonderful grandparents to Bayshore Elementary for a special Grandparents Day celebration! The turnout was fantastic, and it was heartwarming to see so many smiling faces. Our students and their grandparents enjoyed a day filled with fun activities, heartfelt moments, and cherished memories!    

Bayshore National Encouragement Day

The Bayshore counseling team distributed SUPERHERO self-care kits to teachers and staff, which included tea, mints, honey, and a small encouraging message. These thoughtful kits aim to support teachers and staffs’ well-being and provide a little boost of positivity. 🌟
