Bayshore Elementary students celebrated Literacy Week by participating in several activities to construct the foundation of success through reading. Students read to their peers using flashlights and participated in a literacy scavenger hunt. Students were given riddles to solve. Clues were posted around the school. We also hosted a community reading day. Texas Roadhouse, community members, and staff read a book to each class. Finally, we ended our week with a book character or vocabulary word parade. We had a great time this week! The students were enthusiastic and engaged throughout the week. It was a wonderful opportunity to foster a love for reading.
