Excitement was in the air in Mrs. Frisby’s classroom as students geared up for an interactive math challenge! Our math coach, Mrs. Proctor, led the class in a high-energy review game called “Capture the Flag” to help students prepare for their Unit 5 District Assessment on decimal comparison and addition and subtraction.
Working collaboratively in small groups, students turned to their textbooks to solve problems listed on their index cards. Once a team successfully completed all of the questions, they checked their answers with Mrs. Proctor. Correct answers earned the group a new index card—and the chance to capture a flag (a colored sticky note) from another team!
The classroom was filled with teamwork, strategy, and enthusiastic problem-solving as students reviewed important math skills in a fun and engaging way. It was wonderful to see students so excited about learning while strengthening their understanding of decimals.
