Students worked collaboratively to create a display highlighting an influential African American leader, demonstrating teamwork, creativity, and pride in their work. Through guided research, reading, and discussion, students learned about the individual’s life, accomplishments, and lasting impact on society. The project encouraged critical thinking, strengthened research and presentation skills, and deepened students’ understanding of the important contributions African Americans have made to our nation’s history.  Students also took part in a wax museum and musical performances, highlighting a range of talents in celebration of African American culture. Overall, the showcase provided an enriching learning experience and fostered appreciation, respect, and cultural awareness across all grade levels.
