Southport Middle School PBIS Pep Rally

Southport Middle School (SPMS) recently buzzed with an incredible surge of school spirit as it celebrated a multi-faceted Homecoming week. This wasn’t just your average celebration; the school integrated Literacy Week and various Student Council initiatives into the festivities, ensuring that academic engagement and school pride went hand-in-hand. Throughout the week, students participated in a vibrant “spirit week,” dressing up and engaging in themed activities that fostered a strong sense of community and excitement across the campus.

One of the biggest highlights of the week was the PBIS Pep Rally. This event served as a high-energy reward for students’ positive behavior, featuring a variety of fun activities that kept the bleachers cheering. A major highlight of the rally was the presentation of the highly anticipated Royal Court. The court honored students across all grade levels:

  • 6th Grade: Duke and Duchess
  • 7th Grade: Prince and Princess
  • 8th Grade: King and Queen

While the court was introduced during the school day, the ultimate winners were officially crowned later that evening at the Homecoming Dance. The dance provided the perfect finale to a week dedicated to students, literacy, and school-wide unity, leaving the SPMS Hurricanes with lasting memories of a truly “fun-filled” week.
