SLPS Fifth Graders Showcase Their Science Fair Projects

On Saturday, April 1st, St. Lucie Public Schools celebrated the annual Elementary Science Showcase. Fifth-grade students from Floresta Elementary, Frances K. Sweet, Lakewood Park Elementary, Manatee K-8, Morningside Elementary, and Mosaic Digital Academy had an opportunity to exhibit, talk about, and answer questions about their projects, either individually or as a group. Those in attendance, including teachers, board, and community members, were impressed by our talented fifth graders. This experience prepared students for the St. Lucie County Regional Science and Engineering Fair STEM Competition.

In addition, local organizations, including FAU Harbor Branch, Oxbow Eco-Center, Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens, and Texas Roadhouse, showcased what they have to offer to our St. Lucie County families. We would like to take the opportunity to say thank you for helping to make this event a success. Everyone who attended this event had a great time and can’t wait to participate again next year.
