The Lincoln Park Academy Wind Symphony and Orchestra performed at the Worldstride’s Onstage Festival in New Orleans, LA last month and earned the following awards:
Jazz Ensemble: Gold rating, Adjudicator’s Choice Award and Invitation to Carnegie Hall
Steel Drum Ensemble: Gold rating, Adjudicator’s Choice Award and Invitation to Carnegie Hall
Percussion Ensemble: Gold rating
Wind Ensemble: Silver rating and Outstanding Band Award for highest scoring concert band
Orchestra: Silver rating
The Instrumental Sweepstakes recognition was awarded to the Wind Symphony and Orchestra for earning the highest overall instrumental score.
Junior Raul Pozniak was 1 of only 4 students out of 400 to be acknowledged as an outstanding soloist.
