One Voyage Ends, Another Begins The former Fort Pierce Post Office at 500 Orange Avenue turned event venue and hosted the annual Fort Pierce Central High School Band Banquet. Cobra students and their families gathered for a night to remember. This year’s theme was a Voyage’s End, a fitting tribute to a sojourn on a trip of a lifetime. Fort Pierce Central’s Owen Youngblood participated in the first annual Florida High School Art Awards & Metaverse Exhibition. Owen’s artwork “Cityscape” was a finalist in the Student Athlete/Arts Community Service Network Inc. High School Art Show.  The “Cityscape” project utilized One and Two Point Perspective Lines to create a city view using Adobe Illustrator in Mrs. Amy Montabana’s Digital Art 1 class. A week’s long Superhero marathon in Cobra Nation set new standards for celebrating instructional staff! This year’s super teacher appreciation was one filled with food, treats, Cobra swag, and sentimental notes from students. FPC AP Art Students Sweep Scholastic Art & Writing Awards!

This year Ft. Pierce Central High School students in Mrs. Blackmon’s A.P. and Digital Art classes entered artwork in several categories in the prestigious Scholastic Art Award’s competition in December and the winners were announced February 28. FPC students entered artwork in the categories of Digital Art, Drawing, Painting, Mixed Media, Photography, Jewelry, and Sculpture. FPC Aerospace Internships

Summer 2013 proved to be an exciting time for Fort Pierce Central (FPC)/Embry Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) students.  Eight FPC/ERAU Aerospace Institute students, 10 – 12 graders, were selected to be the inaugural class for a new internship program launched in cooperation with Renegade Light Sport Aircraft of Fort Pierce. FPC 9/11 Memorial

Central’s JROTC Honors 9/11 with Tribute The Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) conducted a solemn 9/11 ceremony at the flagpole to commemorate the victims of the tragic 2001 attacks in New York City. During the ceremony, Sergeant Major Jackson, who was stationed in Korea at the time of the attacks, delivered a poignant speech, sharing his personal experiences and reflections. FPC 2nd Annual Toy Drive

The 2022 holiday giving season was decked with purple and gold. Fort Pierce Central High School cobras, the Sunshine Committee, along with the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Department brought joy and smiles to children in our area. For the second year, the FPC Toy Drive shares the spirit of heart, hope, and Cobra Pride brightening our community. FPC 2024 Young Floridian Candidates & Winners

10 seniors represented Fort Pierce Central on Friday, April 5 as our Young Floridian Candidates. These students were nominated by faculty and staff earlier in October. On this day, they were interviewed for their chance to win the Young Floridian Scholarship. Representative Larry Lee took part in the Fort Pierce Westwood Speakers Bureau presentation this past Wednesday, October 26, 2016. Fourth Graders Explore the 4 Principles of Flight

At Morningside Elementary, students in Mrs. Moore’s Fourth Grade AMP (Advanced Mathematical Program) class were engaged in graphing on a coordinate grid as they incorporated the four principles of flight (thrust, drag, weight, and lift) in their learning. Students have the goal of “rescuing the stranded hiker” at the top of the grid mountain. They had to apply these principles to rescue the climber without crashing into the mountain. All students worked cooperatively to apply their learning in order to achieve this goal. Students are encouraged to explore interests such as the principles of flight throughout their learning.

Fourth Graders at Savanna Ridge are Math Fluency Stars!

Fourth graders at Savanna Ridge Elementary took part in a math fluency fact challenge.  Those who met the math fluency expectations in each class got to eat their lunch outside with the Assistant Principal, Mrs. Melrose, and were treated to cupcakes.  Way to go fourth grade math superstars!

Fourth graders at Palm Pointe celebrate Arbor Day

State Farm agent Janine Tillman sponsored the fourth grade students at Palm Pointe Educational Research School @ Tradition by donating trees and wildflower seeds for Arbor Day. Students learned the importance of taking care of the Earth, not only for themselves but for future generations. They were all excited to plant, care for, and watch their trees grow for many years to come.  Pictured are students from Victoria Cornelius’ fourth grade class as they show their certificates, trees and seeds.
