Lincoln Park Academy wind symphony presents concert

The Lincoln Park Academy (LPA) Wind Symphony performed a concert recently featuring the student members of the Jazz Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, Steel Drum Band, Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble. The band members played a wide variety of literature for this concert and interacted with the audience. Assistant Superintendent of Fine Arts Dr. Kevin Perry is shown above as a guest conductor for the Wind Ensemble. The ensembles will perform again at the annual Winter Concert on Thursday, December 6th at 6:30pm in the LPA auditorium.

Lincoln Park Academy Wind Symphony & Orchestra Performs in NOLA

The Lincoln Park Academy Wind Symphony and Orchestra performed at the Worldstride’s Onstage Festival in New Orleans, LA last month and earned the following awards: Jazz Ensemble: Gold rating, Adjudicator’s Choice Award and Invitation to Carnegie Hall  Steel Drum Ensemble: Gold rating, Adjudicator’s Choice Award and Invitation to Carnegie Hall Percussion Ensemble: Gold rating  Wind Ensemble: Silver rating and Outstanding Band Award for highest scoring concert band Orchestra: Silver rating  The Instrumental Sweepstakes recognition was awarded to the Wind Symphony and Orchestra for earning the highest overall instrumental score. Lincoln Park Academy Wind Ensemble Earns Superior Ratings 

Led by Band Directors Mr. Jason Albert and Mr. Jason Hatfield, the talented musicians of the Lincoln Park Academy Wind Ensemble gave an incredible performance at the 2025 District 13 Florida Bandmasters Association Concert Music Performance Assessment. Performing for a panel of four adjudicators, the LPA Wind Ensemble earned Straight Superior ratings for the second consecutive year. Lincoln Park Academy Visual Arts Visits Major Exhibition of American Impressionist Work in South Florida

Mr. McGraw’s LPA visual arts students were invited to visit the Society of the Four Arts on Palm Beach for their 2022 season exhibit, In a New Light: American Impressionism 1870–1940. Lincoln Park Academy Violinist Grace Joseph will Perform in Charlotte, North Carolina

Lincoln Park Academy Orchestra is proud to announce our violinist, Grace Joseph—grade 9, has been nominated to perform for the 2023 Boys and Girls Clubs of America Southeast Leadership Conference in Charlotte, North Carolina on November 30.  She will be performing some selected solo pieces for one of the general sessions. Congratulations Ms. Joseph on a prestigious honor! Ms. Laura Hopkins is the Orchestra Director at Lincoln Park Academy.

Lincoln Park Academy Violinist Giselle Cisneros Arana chosen for All State High School Honors Orchestra

Lincoln Park Academy is proud to announce that violinist Giselle Arana Cisneros, grade 10 has been selected to perform in this year’s Florida Orchestra Association All State High School Honors Orchestra in Tampa during the January Music Teachers’ Professional Development.  She will be performing with other students from the state in grades 9-12.  This makes it four years in a row that Giselle has been selected for All State!  The Lincoln Park Academy Orchestras are under the direction of Ms. Laura Hopkins.

Lincoln Park Academy Theatre Stole the Show at District 15 Thespian Festival!

LPA Theatre- Troupe 6958 stole the show at the Individual Event Festival this weekend! Bringing home 21 superior ratings and 8 critics’ choice trophies. In addition, 2 scholarships were awarded to Jonathan Edwards and Kailee Larmon, and the overall best technical theatre event of the weekend was awarded to Tyler Daniel. This means that we have 6 individual events, an overall critics choice piece, and our One Act Play that will be moving on to the State Festival in March! We can’t wait to rock State Festival!

The Lincoln Park Academy Theatre Department Presented The Addams Family Musical in mid-March. Determined to create during a time of disconnect, the LPA Theatre Department worked hard to find ways to create theatre in an inventive and safe way. During the first weekend of October, Lincoln Park Academy produced the musical James and the Giant Peach! This production was a resounding success, attracting audience members of all ages. This fun filled production is full of magic, family and songs that make you want to sing along. Lincoln Park Academy Students4H2O Celebrates the Environment at NatureFest

Lincoln Park Academy had a wonderful time at NatureFest 2022! With over 30 booths from local environmental and outdoor groups, including nonprofits, parks, and eco-centers, plus local businesses, LPA Students4H2O was proud to be at the 26th environmental festival alongside the Lincoln Park Academy Key Club and the Lincoln Park Academy Environmental Protection Club. This educational environmental festival featured many exhibitors that showcased the Treasure Coast’s wildlife, natural resources, and Florida’s great outdoors! We look forward to participating at Water Fest — another empowering community event — on March 26th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Stuart Memorial Park!

Lincoln Park Academy students, teachers, and staff participated with millions of people across the country in Unity Day on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, to take a stand against bullying.  By wearing orange, Lincoln Park Academy showed that we believe that no student should be subjected to bullying.  

Lincoln Park Academy student project brings toys to hospitalized children

Three Lincoln Park Academy student athletes have delivered stuffed toys to children at Palm Beach Children’s Hospital Pediatric Unit as part of a Kare for Kids community service team project. Pictured, from left, are Erin Gerlica, Jeffrey Gerlica and Kayla Andrade on a recent toy delivery. The Kare for Kids team more than doubled its original goal of 75 by collecting more than 175 toys! Jeffrey plans to continue with the Kare for Kids program so he can help bring further joy to children in need.

Lincoln Park Academy Student Jamya Wiley Wins Scholarship

Jamya Wiley, 2018 graduate from Lincoln Park Academy, was presented with a $1,700.00 scholarship from the Florida Dairy Farmers on June 11th in Gainesville. Jamya was one of twelve female student athletes from across the state chosen for the Academic All-State Team. Congratulations to Jamya!

Lincoln Park Academy Steps Up for Hope’s Closet through Shoe Drive

The National Honor Society and students of Lincoln Park Academy collected gently used shoes for Hope’s Closet during the month of December to help men, women, and children to better enjoy the holiday season.  The students will be continuing their service drive with Hope’s Closet in the month of January by collecting jackets and blankets.
