LPA Wins Top Individual Honors at MathCounts Competition

The Lincoln Park Academy Middle School Math Team participated in the annual MathCounts competition on Friday. Kendrick Carpenter took first place individual honors and will go on to compete at the state level on March 24th. Also among the top ten finishers was Malaica Ashley who finished in eighth place. Congratulations to the entire team for a job well done!

LPA Wind Symphony Students Participate in the University of Miami Frost Honor Band

Lincoln Park Academy Wind Symphony members Michael Ferrara (10th), Olivia Ganeto-Pressley (11th), Lucas Huang (10th), Jeno Retutal (11th), and Nash Barcelona (9th) had the incredible honor of performing in the University of Miami Frost Honor Band. The Frost Honor Band Festival brings approximately 150 talented high school instrumentalists from the State of Florida to the University of Miami Frost School of Music for two days of rehearsals, master classes by Frost School artist faculty, and a final concert. Their hard work and passion were on full display as they represented Lincoln Park Academy with pride. Congratulations to these members of the LPA Wind Symphony!

LPA Track and Field Athlete Excels at the State Championships

Congratulations to Alexandra Watson for placing 2nd in the Girls Long Jump at the 2023 FHSAA State Track & Field Championships in the 2A classification.  She jumped 5.55 meters (18ft. 2.5 inches) which is her all-time career best.  She entered the meet ranked 5th among the other competitors.

LPA Theatre Takes on State Festival

LPA Theatre Troupe 6958 attended State Festival over spring break in Tampa, Florida. The troupe participated with 6 events. 5 events received Superior Ratings and 1 received an Excellent Rating. Valerie Truby, Cael Fevrius, and Tyler Daniel all received Top Honors on their pieces. It was an exciting week that included their Large Group Musical performing for thousands of Thespians!  

LPA Theatre Rocks One Act Festival!

Lincoln Park Academy Theatre’s Troupe 6958 participated in One Act Festival on November 17th and 18th and did an outstanding job! LPA’s theatre department was awarded a Straight Superior rating and received Critics Choice! This means that LPA Theatre will be representing District 15 Thespians at the State Festival in March. Two of their actors received rewards as well; Chloe Jackson was chosen as Best Overall Actress of the festival and Sofia Abraham was selected as All-Star Cast Member! Well done LPA theatre! 👏🏼👏🏼      

LPA Theatre Presents: Footloose

This weekend LPA Theatre presented Footloose: The Musical! Wow!! Another amazing show from LPA Theatre! Footloose was absolutely brilliant and so fun! Loved to see all our great performers cutting loose on stage! Round of applause to the amazing cast for bringing the show to life! It was a toe-tapping good time for all.  

LPA Theatre Does ‘Pippin’

LPA Theatre had Magic To Do this past weekend as they presented Pippin! This cast took audiences on a journey of discovery, battles, beauty, and love as we watched Pippin take on the world. These students created a beautiful world onstage that drew audiences in again and again. With a student-led tech team and dazzling choreography, this show was a sight to see.    

LPA Theatre at State

At the 2024 Florida State Thespian Festival, troupe 6958 brought 8 individual events to compete with, and a one act. They came home with four excellents, four superiors, and top honors for their one act. 6958 got the pleasure of watching three main stages, watch other schools pieces, and take different workshops with Broadway professionals. Overall State Festival was an incredible learning experience for everyone who attended. LPA Theatre had an outstanding time at the state festival and can’t wait until next year!

LPA Theater Hairspray the Musical!

Lincoln Park Academy Theater produced Hairspray the Musical the last week of April 2019. This toe-tapping show was a delight to work on and to see. With over 100 students involved, this show was held very near and dear to many students’ hearts. A timeless story of equality and love, Tracy Turnblad soars to new heights with her hair and her willingness to stand up for what’s right. Over 1,200 attendees traveled through time with LPA to an upbeat world of hairspray and a world of changing dance.    

Lincoln Park Academy Supports All Villages Presbyterian Church Pumpkin Event

On October 11, 2025, Lincoln Park Academy Key Club members demonstrated their commitment by assisting All Villages Presbyterian Church with unloading pumpkins and setting up for their annual pumpkin event. This marked the third consecutive year supporting the church, and they greatly value the involvement of Lincoln Park Academy students due to their helpfulness and respectful demeanor. Mr. McGraw’s I & II 2D Studio classes have been using the time at school or at home to truly look at the world around them. Students in Ms. Steffens Studio Art classes have been participating in a host of exciting contests, exhibitions and juried shows this school year. Their work has been displayed at the Art Connection in Ft. Pierce, The 3rd Annual Highwaymen Heritage Trail Festival, and the St. Lucie County Fairgrounds.  We were recently notified of several wins in the PSL Drop Savers Poster Contest and are awaiting word on the Doodle4Google contest and the eminent Dali Museum’s Student Surrealist Art Exhibition entries.

Lincoln Park Academy Students4H2O had another great time at Stuart Memorial Park as they partook in Water Fest 2023! Lincoln Park Academy proudly represented St. Lucie County at this environmental conservation event. Hundreds of attendees stopped by to check out their activity focused on upcycling egg cartons as planting pots. A big thank you goes out to all the administrators, teachers, students, and parent volunteers that helped make Water Fest possible!LPA Students4H2O looks forward to the possibilities to come! LPA Students4H2O Celebrate Earth Day 2022!

Lincoln Park Academy Students4H2O celebrate Earth Day 2022 at their new garden plot at the Fort Pierce Community Garden! Having this plot not only aligns with the United Nations missions of Global Goal 13: Climate Action and Global Goal 15: Life on Land, but allows Students4H2O members to have hands-on interactions with their environment. LPA Students Love the Chess Club

The LPA Chess Club has students learn and show their skills in this fun and historic board game! Playing chess has many benefits, including improved memory, developed perspective and problem-solving skills, and even a reduced risk of developing dementia. Founded this year by Ian Navas, the club welcomes both middle and high school students regardless of chess experience. LPA Students Learn About Enzymes

Lincoln Park Academy students in Ms. Saxton-Hertz and Ms. Bernard – Mark’s IB MYP Biology classes completed the Pineapple Enzyme Lab using gelatin as the protein and pineapple as the enzyme. Students learned how to denature the bromelain from the pineapple by adjusting temperature and pH levels.  This lab directly ties in to  SC.912.L.18.4 and relates the structure and function of enzymes by allowing students to use hands-on activities to become proficient with the standard.        

LPA Students Investigate at CSI STEM Night

On April 4th, the LPA Science Bowl hosted their first CSI STEM Night. Students who attended investigated the case of the missing spirit stick. They analyzed fingerprints and fibers, used black lights to inspect the crime scene, and interrogated suspects – all to find the culprit who stole the spirit stick! School Resource Officers and the St. Lucie County CSI Unit also attended to help facilitate the investigation.
