The LPA Chess Club has students learn and show their skills in this fun and historic board game! Playing chess has many benefits, including improved memory, developed perspective and problem-solving skills, and even a reduced risk of developing dementia. Founded this year by Ian Navas, the club welcomes both middle and high school students regardless of chess experience. Meetings are held on Mondays and Fridays after school in the cafeteria.

+Members participate in a club tournament at the beginning of the year.

Members try not to blunder their pieces while having fun.

Our sponsor, Mr. James Flynn, and members flood the cafeteria with chess games.
