This week, School Resource Officer McCarty and Officer DeJean presented to our 9th-grade students the Port St. Lucie Police Department Officer Steve Brown Model Traffic Stop Program. This program is to promote positivity between teens and law enforcement by teaching them how to have a positive interaction during a traffic stop. This program is to honor the late School Resource Officer Steve Brown who was once the SRO at Treasure Coast High School. Officer Brown loved enriching teens’ lives through positive interactions with law enforcement.
