Northport Celebrates Incoming Sixth Graders With Style!

Northport fifth grade graduation was a first-rate event! Just when you think you can’t celebrate one more thing, those fifth graders go and make the tears come to your eyes. The NP gymnasium was packed with parents, grandparents and families that truly care about the success and achievement of their children. Students were honored for perfect attendance and for highest achievement in resource, math, reading and science. Students then performed a musical number in unison facing their parents. The incredible program was then wrapped up with a moving and engaging presentation of every fifth grader portrayed in a slide including a baby picture side-by-side with a present-day photo. There were tears in teachers’ and parents’ eyes as they realized that every moment is an important moment and memories were being captured. The graduation into sixth grade was a very lovely experience.
