Fifth grade students at Morningside Elementary learned all about body systems with hands-on activities including viewing how air expands real pig lungs, touching and seeing real animal organs, and learning where all the inner body systems are located. Finally, the students were shown how by tapping on the body, they could tell whether the body part was solid or hollow. The head sounded hollow much to the students’ surprise!
