Bayshore recently hosted student-led conferences with strong support from the community and the SLPS district office. Students had the opportunity to discuss their unit assessment data, PM data, and goals for PM 3 data with their parents, teachers, or staff. They also shared things they could work on at home, their aspirations, and their future career interests. Each student presented a folder containing samples of their work and data, which they shared with their families. For students whose parents couldn’t attend, conferences were held with teachers and other school staff. This event fostered meaningful conversations and empowered students to take ownership of their learning journey. It was a wonderful example of community collaboration and student engagement.
