Throughout the school year, Lawnwood Leopards have been participating in African American History Lessons. School Board Member, Ms. Jennifer Richardson, interacted virtually with students as they discussed the roles and contributions of Harriet Tubman, Barack Obama, Mae Jemison, and other influential leaders.
First Grade Students from Ms. McGowan’s class are participating in the Embryology Countdown in partnership with the St. Lucie County 4H. As part of the program, students participate in virtual lessons, make predictions, and document their observations.
Third Grader’s from Mrs. Warren’s class at Lawnwood Elementary read an article about Hawksbill Turtles becoming extinct. They worked together to raise money to adopt 300 baby turtles. They exceeded their goal and were able to adopt 500 turtles. These Lawnwood Leopards are contributing to our world. WAY TO GO!
The VPK Students of Lawnwood Elementary celebrated 100 Days of School. This day marks an important milestone for teachers and students. Our Lawnwood Leopards are celebrating because they are 100 days smarter due to their hard work and effort. WAY TO GO!

The Fifth Grade Students of Lawnwood Elementary School are measuring volume by counting unit cubes and relating volume to the operations of multiplication and addition.
MySchool Virtual Teachers of Lawnwood Elementary work collaboratively to utilize online learning platforms, discussion boards, and various response systems to engage their students.
The Kindergarten students of Lawnwood Elementary are deepening their understanding of the reading foundational standards. Way to go Leopards!
