Ms. Abbate’s 4th-grade students wrote a statement about every classmate. This writing activity encouraged students to reflect on positive attributes and help build relationships. Kindness is a gift that everyone can afford to give.

First Grade students from Lawnwood Elementary enjoyed a yummy snack as they explored place value and the properties of operation for addition and subtraction. Students used marshmallows and gummy worms as concrete models to deepen their understanding of place value concepts. GO LEOPARDS!

During the week of October 4th, students learned about Roberto Clemente. In addition, students learned about Rita Moreno, Cesar Chavez, Jennifer Lopez, and so many more Hispanic Leaders. BRAVO!
