FPC Volleyball Team Sets to Score!

  Congratulations to the Fort Pierce Central High School volleyball team on their victory against South Fork 3 sets to 2. After being down 2 sets to 0 midway through the third set, our Cobras mounted their comeback. Their dynamic resiliency resulted in winning the last 3 sets. Our team exhibited FPC pride during their home opener defending Cobra Nation!  

Cobra Yearbook Staff Takes Over Camp Orlando!

Camp Orlando is an elite 4-day journalism workshop geared toward Yearbook and Newspaper programs in high schools. The program offers multiple, interest-based tracks for students and advisors. Ms. Emily Royo attended the Experienced Advisor Academy and collaborated with other advisors in the area. Advisors shared best academic practices along with suggestions for classroom conditions and structure in order to maximize work efficiency while balancing strict deadline management with compassion. The countdown is over and football season is here! Gathering at the game starts at the heart of Cobra Nation. FPC Boosters give a grand send-off to our Cobra football team by sharing their game-winning enthusiasm and filling their plates with a hearty spaghetti dinner! Cobra Nation staff are spotted supporting their team with another fun-filled and food-filled time before kick-off. Cobra Nation fans are ready for another great season! Go Cobras!

Cobra Pep Rallies are Legendary!

The first pep rally of the year brings a sense of energy, enthusiasm, and celebration to Cobra Nation! In a way that only Cobras can, students at both lunches showed up and showed off their purple and gold pride. Band, Flag Core, Cheerleaders, SGA, and Dance Team dialed up the spirit for our Cobra Football team. More than ever, school spirit takes on new meaning, new purpose, and new direction for a school with over 3,200 students. Cobra Nation is a community of its own–one heart, one spirit, many voices!

One Office Has It All! FPC Assistant Principal Jesus Rivera has an eclectic office. Upon walking in, immediately on your left, you are welcomed by a Cobra graduation cap and gown. Cobras Take a Spin!

Move over Wheel of Fortune and Price is Right, Central’s PBIS Prize Wheel is spinning in action! Cobras are spinning the prize wheel at lunches every Monday and Wednesday for a myriad of prizes. Rewarding positive behaviors reinforces Cobra Nation’s expectations for a successful year. Teachers nominate students demonstrating expectations with a ticket to win. Students spin the prize wheel with a winner at every turn. Students get to enjoy a refreshment, prize, or Cobra perk! Keep up the positive choices Cobras!  

Cobra Campus Tours

When the new school year starts, new Cobra students are welcomed to campus. Part of the welcome and acclimation process is a campus tour for all ninth graders. Mr. Hoyos, a veteran automotive instructor takes extra time to introduce students to the skilled trades opportunities at Fort Pierce Central High School. Mr. Hoyos not only walks students through the automotive department and back dock, he also explains the learning processes and skills training offered in the program. Pod teachers in Building 1 South are ready to open Cobra Nation to new family members! Smiling faces greeted new and returning Cobra families at Open House. Students and their families met teachers, learned the lay of the land in Cobra Nation, and were reunited with friends at long last. From a sea of purple & gold in the courtyard to perfectly curated classrooms, teachers rolled out the Cobra royal carpet for families. Mr. Wilder reconnects with his returning students for another engaging year! Teachers make the difference at FPC.

FPC Culinary Dazzles Democratic Club of SLC

Fort Pierce Central High School Culinary Cobras catered and served at the annual fundraising event for the Democratic Club of SLC on May 6th at the River Walk in Fort Pierce. The goal of the event was to support and promote voter registration and the right of all St. Lucie County citizens, no matter race, background, or political affiliation, to vote in county, state, and national elections. All funds raised at the event’s silent auction were used towards scholarships for students entering political science and history. One Voyage Ends, Another Begins The former Fort Pierce Post Office at 500 Orange Avenue turned event venue and hosted the annual Fort Pierce Central High School Band Banquet. Cobra students and their families gathered for a night to remember. This year’s theme was a Voyage’s End, a fitting tribute to a sojourn on a trip of a lifetime. The performing arts instill a greater sense of self in student musicians. The Marching Cobras, Concert Band, and Jazz Ensembles are a school’s version of a home-away-from-home. FPC’s P R I S M The Fort Pierce Central High School concert band capped off an amazing season and another outstanding year under the direction of Mr. Joshua Daniels. The Spring Show PRISM was a non-stop music experience! Different from other shows, this concert featured a majority of student-led selections. Mr. Martinez balances performances with the complexity and character that challenges students to rise to the next level as vocal artists. FPC NHS Induction Ceremony

National Honor Society Inductions of new members are important to all organizations. Members make the difference. Since 1921, NHS thrives in leadership, character, service, and scholarship. FPC’s National Honor Society Honors Earth Day! The natural treasure of St. Lucie County, the Oxbow Eco Center proudly celebrated Earth Day 2023. With volunteers from all corners of the county, including Fort Pierce Central High School’s National Honor Society members, the event was a true tribute to caring for our corner of the globe. From set up to clean-up, volunteers took the time to do more than was asked by doing what was needed. Beyond giving back, NHS sets the example for our community to join in and do their part to keep St. Lucie County beautiful.
