LPA Theatre Presents: Footloose

This weekend LPA Theatre presented Footloose: The Musical! Wow!! Another amazing show from LPA Theatre! Footloose was absolutely brilliant and so fun! Loved to see all our great performers cutting loose on stage! Round of applause to the amazing cast for bringing the show to life! It was a toe-tapping good time for all.  

LPA High School Students Win Dr. Samuel S. Gaines Essay Contest

For the second year in a row, LPA high school students won first, second, and third place in the district Dr. Samuel S. Gaines Essay Contest. Senior Milani Carpenter won first place; freshman Arianna John won second place; and sophomore Madison Coloso took third. Congratulations to these students, and a special thanks to their teachers: Mrs. Melissa Cassella and Ms. Brienne Slocum.              

LPA Chorus “Superior with Distinction” at FVA State Solo and Ensemble MPA

Congratulations to the following chorus students who participated in the Florida Vocal Association State Solo and Ensemble Music Performance Assessment which was held at Palm Beach Atlantic University. LPA Students Investigate at CSI STEM Night

On April 4th, the LPA Science Bowl hosted their first CSI STEM Night. Students who attended investigated the case of the missing spirit stick. They analyzed fingerprints and fibers, used black lights to inspect the crime scene, and interrogated suspects – all to find the culprit who stole the spirit stick! School Resource Officers and the St. Lucie County CSI Unit also attended to help facilitate the investigation.        

LPA Theatre at State

At the 2024 Florida State Thespian Festival, troupe 6958 brought 8 individual events to compete with, and a one act. They came home with four excellents, four superiors, and top honors for their one act. 6958 got the pleasure of watching three main stages, watch other schools pieces, and take different workshops with Broadway professionals. Overall State Festival was an incredible learning experience for everyone who attended. LPA Theatre had an outstanding time at the state festival and can’t wait until next year!

Lincoln Park Academy Choral Department…State-bound Again!

Congratulations to the Lincoln Park Academy Choral Department!! The Women’s Chorus “Premiere” and the advanced Women’s Chorus “Belle Voix” both received Straight Superior ratings at the Florida Vocal Association District 13 Choral Music Performance Assessments. They now move on to the State Music Performance Assessments along with the Women’s Ensemble, Duet (Dalita DeCambre and Rayna Desmangles), and Soloist Angellesiea Cerda.   State MPA will be held in North Palm Beach and West Palm Beach in April. Congratulations LPA Chorus on another successful concert season!

LPA Ceramics Students Participate in Empty Bowls

Mr. McGarry’s Ceramics students from Lincoln Park Academy joined forces with Centennial and Central High students to fight hunger in our community. They created over 30 ceramic pieces to add to the more than 200 items that sold in the fundraiser hosted by the Treasure Coast Food Bank. The event was a huge success with over $13,000 dollars raised, thanks to the combined efforts of our district art students, local businesses, and private donations.  

Exciting Session with St. Lucie County Sheriffs on Drug Prevention & K-9 Tactics

At Lincoln Park Academy, students of NJHS eagerly gathered for a special presentation by St. Lucie County Sheriffs on drug prevention. Officers spoke about the dangers of drugs and the importance of positive choices. The highlight was the K-9 demonstration, showcasing dogs’ skills in detecting drugs, apprehending suspects, and obedience commands. Students gained insights into law enforcement’s role in community safety, leaving them inspired to make healthy choices and be positive in! 🚓🐾 #NJHS #CommunityEducation

Lincoln Park Academy Middle School and High School students participate in the the 36th Annual STEM Fair competition! LPA Jazz Ensemble Earns Straight Superiors at MPA

Congratulations to the Lincoln Park Academy Jazz Ensemble for earning straight superiors at the District 10 Music Performance Assessment held at Sebastian River High School. They will be advancing to State MPA, which will be held at Horizon High School in Orlando on March 22nd. GO GREYHOUNDS!!

LPA Shows LOVE to Louie’s Huwe

Lincoln Park Academy students and staff always have a heart for giving!  Through two awesome fundraisers, “Crocs & Crazy Socks Day” and “Coffee for a Cause”, our students and staff generously donated a total of $1,943.00 to Louie’s Huwe, a nonprofit furthering medical research into rare Huwe1 genetic conditions. LPA Centennial Oral History Project ~ Francina Mimms

LPA is celebrating its Centennial Year through the oral histories of its alumni. Sophomore Lily Zheng interviewed alumni, the first being Francenia Mimms, who graduated from LPA in 1959. Ms. Mimms shared her experience attending LPA and growing up in Fort Pierce. The interview can be found on LPA’s YouTube channel. LPA Greyhounds Journey to Educational Opportunities

Students at Lincoln Park Academy had an exciting day as they traveled to the Fenn Center to engage in the start of ongoing communication with college recruiters.  They were able to ask pertinent questions relative to their chosen careers and receive valuable feedback that will aid in final decision making.  The students, along with their dedicated counselors, report an overall success as they shared valuable experiences resulting from their visit.  The recruiters were very motivated while sharing campus factors that their universities promote for overall student success and degree completion.  This was certainly a valuable field trip that will leave memorable memories … Read More

LPA Students Compete at the HOSA Winter Regional Conference

The Lincoln Park Academy HOSA competition team traveled to their first HOSA Competition on 01/25/2024 for the Treasure Coast Regional Winter Leadership Competition in West Palm Beach. Students Camille Anoos, Nachbi Pierre, and Payton Norkus all competed. Payton and Camille competed in Medical Terminology and Nachbi competed in Cultural Diversities and Disparities. The students had a wonderful experience being able to network and learn more about HOSA from different schools within the region.
