LPA Key Club Collaborates With FKS To Enhance Their Garden

On a sunny Friday afternoon, Key Club members Gabriele, Carol, Guerlynard, Justin, Jenessa, and Jeno came together to lend their hands in the garden at F.K. Sweet Elementary. Their dedication and teamwork not only beautified the space but also showed the spirit of community service that the Key Club embodies. Lincoln Park Academy Orchestra Students Are Selected for the 2025 Florida Orchestra Association All State Orchestras

The Lincoln Park Academy Orchestra is proud to announce the following students were selected for the Florida Orchestra Association All-State Orchestras, which will meet in January at the annual Florida Education Association Conference in Tampa.   Ms. Laura Hopkins is the Orchestra Director at Lincoln Park Academy. LPA’s NJHS Serves Our Community

On Tuesday, October 29, Lincoln Park Academy’s National Junior Honor Society contributed 138 cans of Chef Boyardee to The Giving Concert in honor of Grace Packs.  LPA teacher and NJHS adviser, Dr. Rennaker, asked the members to contribute cans to help Grace Packs accumulate food.  Grace Packs is best known for sending backpacks of food and snacks home, with eligible elementary and middle school students, on Fridays.  9th grade LPA students, Olivia Costa and Victoria Townsel, volunteered to pack up the boxes and deliver them to the auditorium.  These members are also working on two contests: club t-shirt design and … Read More

LPA’s Cross Country Team Competes at District

Congratulations to the LPA Cross Country teams and Coach Adams and Coach Moore, who competed in District Competition this weekend in Fort Myers. The LPA girls placed 6th out of 18 teams and will advance to the Class 2A Region 3 Championships this Thursday. Jacey Lane placed an impressive 9th place overall to lead the girls.  

LPA Boy’s Golf County Champions

Congratulations to the Boy’s Golf Team (Aiden Shaw, Jaden Peterson, Malachi Davis, Bryce Shaw, Luke Goothouse, and Joey Rizzello) for winning the Al Griffin County Championship on October 15. The boys competed against 7 schools in the county and after 3 years of getting second place, they earned the trophy back! Special congrats to Jaden for shooting a 5 under and winning the individual county championship for the 5th year in a row. On to Districts October 28th! Go Greyhounds!

Lincoln Park Middle School: Student Council Elections

Lincoln Park Academy Middle School students completed the Student Council elections on Monday, September 30, 2024.    The middle school student council elections were a resounding success, with an impressive participation of 646 students. The students eagerly took part in the voting process and cast their ballots in their social studies classrooms. Not only did they vote online to choose their candidates, but each social studies teacher also conducted a mock election, complete with voting booths, ballots, and the experience of waiting in line – allowing the students to fully immerse themselves in the democratic process.    Social Studies teachers … Read More

Algebra Tile Fun at LPA

Mrs. Porter’s Accelerated 7th Grade Math students at Lincoln Park Academy enjoyed using algebra tiles during an introductory lesson for solving equations. Students modeled equations and wrote equations for models. Then students used the tiles to solve one-variable equations. The students look forward to deepening their understanding of equations using the algebra tiles.

LPA Key Club Planting Seeds

On Saturday 21st, 10 LPA Key Club members (Lucia, Elena, Lilly, Katherine, Jaeda, Angelyka, Jenna, Rowan, Jaden, Damon, Mrs. Cassella, and Mrs. Peterson)  prepared an area for sunflower seeds to be planted at the First Church Community Garden Project. The members pulled the weeds, covered the land with shells, and planted the seeds. We will be back on Oct 5th to plant vegetables and fruits which will feed the local community.                      

LPA’s Sydney Daniel Selected To Be a Member of SAAC

The Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) has announced the new members of the 2024-2025 Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). This year, the FHSAA will be welcoming in nine new students into the committee, along with seven returning members. The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) was established in 2008. The committee serves as a critical link in identifying topics, issues, and concerns that face the student-athletes of the State of Florida. This year, the Association received over 60 applications from students across Florida. These members were chosen based on their sports participation, extracurriculars, essay, and leadership skills. LPA Key Club First Meeting of the School Year

September 4th, the LPA Key Club had its first meeting with over 90 members in attendance. Key Club community sponsors as well as partners were also in attendance. New members were able to learn more about the mission as well as learn about future volunteering opportunities. The next meeting is October 4th. It was an amazing way to start the year!      

LPA Key Club at Work in the Community Garden

Twelve Key Club members (Rowan Crandall, Roselyn Crandall, Sydney Daniel, Gabriel Guarnizo, Damon Harris, Jeremiah Henderson, Malachi Henderson, Gilberto Mendez, Isabela Mohindroo, Jayden Nargen, Nachbi Pierre, and Jaeda Wolfgram) attended the first activity at the Community Garden today. The students were taught how to flip the soil, even it up, and place and secure the irrigation hoses. The soil was left ready to rest for 6 weeks. Ms. Delores Johnson is an esteemed alumna of Lincoln Park Academy who dedicated her career to public service and community and was interviewed as part of the oral histories for LPA’s centennial year. LPA Spring Centennial Career Expo

The Lincoln Park Academy Spring Centennial Career Expo was such an amazing event. Twenty-three former graduates were featured and also shared their expertise with our high school students. Students were able to converse with our LPA Alumni about the educational requirements for their career, the pros and cons that come along with their job, and also what they love most about their career. It was such a joy to see our former graduates shine! The day was an absolute success!             +

LPA Centennial Oral History Project – Mrs. Linda Ivey – Class of 1970

This is the third in a collection of oral history interviews conducted by Lincoln Park Academy students to gather and preserve the memories of alumni of the school in its centennial year. Mrs. Linda Ivey is a 1970 graduate and a retired employee of Lincoln Park Academy whose history in Fort Pierce, Florida dates back to the first black cowboys in the area. The Lincoln Park Academy Wind Symphony & Orchestra recently traveled to New York City to perform in the Worldstride’s Heritage National Festival and had an outstanding week of performances and activities. LPA Chorus Invited to Perform in Paris, France!

The Lincoln Park Academy Chorus Department has been invited to perform in Paris, France in June 2025! The chorus was selected for this ten-day residency from June 6 to June 15, by guest conductor, Dr. Stacie Rossow who will conduct composer Michael McGlynn’s THE WIND AMONG THE REEDS with the Orchestre Symphonique Bel’Arte De Paris and distinguished soloists.
