Lincoln Park Academy’s International Baccalaureate (IB) students from grades 9–12 gathered enthusiastically for the annual IB Welcome Breakfast, celebrating the start of a new academic year. Lincoln Park Academy proudly announces the successful launch of its 6th-grade band program with the annual Mouthpiece Party, an engaging event that brought together students, parents, and faculty for an afternoon of music, discovery, and community spirit. This unique event offered students their first hands-on experience with a variety of band instruments, allowing them to try different mouthpieces and discover which instrument best suits their interests and talents. The Lincoln Park High School and Middle School Orchestras recently participated in the Florida Orchestra Association Music Performance Assessments held on March 11, where they both earned commendable Excellent ratings overall. The Lincoln Park Middle School Concert Band under the direction of Jason Hatfield and Jason Albert is proud to announce that it has earned a Superior rating at the prestigious Florida Bandmasters Association (FBA) District 13 Music Performance Assessment (MPA), held on March 11th.  Mrs. Longo’s HOPE classes partnered with the HOSA club in the Battle of the Belts challenge. The group surveyed student and parent drivers to see who was wearing their seatbelts. Of the 320 cars, 300 people wore their seatbelts and only 20 did not! Great job to those who participated! The HOPE classes also participated in a poster contest sponsored by the Treasure Coast Safe Kids and the Florida Department of Transportation. The ‘YMEDACA’ LPA National Honor Society has completed yet another successful road-cleaning! Every early dismissal of every month NHS heads on over to Midway Road to participate in these cleanups. This is the 7th cleanup of the year with 3 more to go. NHS has been doing this for many years, which demonstrates their commitment to keeping Fort Pierce beautiful and clean. They do this in conjunction with volunteering at the Treasure Coast Foodbank every other Thursday, to help the less fortunate by organizing and distributing food around our community. Lincoln Park Academy Wind Symphony members Michael Ferrara (10th), Olivia Ganeto-Pressley (11th), Lucas Huang (10th), Jeno Retutal (11th), and Nash Barcelona (9th) had the incredible honor of performing in the University of Miami Frost Honor Band. The Frost Honor Band Festival brings approximately 150 talented high school instrumentalists from the State of Florida to the University of Miami Frost School of Music for two days of rehearsals, master classes by Frost School artist faculty, and a final concert. Their hard work and passion were on full display as they represented Lincoln Park Academy with pride. Congratulations to these members of the LPA Wind Symphony!

Lincoln Park Academy Orchestras are proud of Giselle Arana Cisneros and Sophia Leeflang, who recently took part in the Florida Orchestra Association All-State High School and Middle School Orchestras in Tampa. These musicians made it through rigorous rounds of auditions in September, in addition to re-seating auditions.
