One hundred students from Port St. Lucie High School attended the District Historical Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs) College Fair held at the district office on January 23rd, 2025.Β The college fair facilitated on-the-spot acceptances and scholarship offers to several students, highlighting the valuable connections made between students and higher education institutions. Dr. Belgraves shared that she was incredibly proud of our Jaguars and their impressive achievements at the college fair. A remarkable 250 senior students from Port St. Lucie High School recently embarked on an enriching field trip to Indian River State College (IRSC), immersing themselves in the vibrant campus environment. Mrs. Smith and her AMAZING students got down in the dirt and built some amazing, raised-bed gardens.Β  The gardens will help the students as they prepare for their future – learning to cultivate and grow, as well as food prep and cooking.Β  Any overage of materials will be donated to the Jaguars Helping Hands Food Pantry.  

Port St. Lucie High School HOSA Rocks Regional Competition

We had another amazing turn out representing PSLHS HOSA! We are so proud of all our competitors for even attempting the competition. 31 students attempted round 1, 19 of them went to Round 2 yesterday and 9 of those placed and are moving onto States in April! Port St. Lucie High School Band Rocks Crown Jewel!

The Port St. Lucie High School Band, led by Band Director Troy Wiley had a phenomenal time at Crown Jewel this weekend! Shout out to @crownjewelvb for running a flawless and welcoming event as always! Our band did extremely well earning best in class in the Gold division, and best Color Guard in the whole competition! @colorguardpslhs was incredible today!!!Β  What an incredible performance by you all! Band is amazing, love it, live it!!  

Port St. Lucie High School Students Open “Student Perks” Coffee Shop

Port St. Lucie High’s exceptional students opened the “Student Perks” Coffee Shop at Port St. Lucie City Hall this week. Students worked hard on their customer service skills and were complimented by the very hungry city hall employees on their outstanding job at running the coffee shop. Students were supported by paraprofessional, Mrs. DiMeo in their new venture!

Jaguar Ambassadors Guide New Students at Port St. Lucie High School

School Counselor Christine Derry launched the Port St. Lucie High Jaguar Ambassador Program with some awesome students who are charged with welcoming and orienting our new students as they arrive to our campus. Ambassadors spend two days showing new students the ropes, walking them to their classes, sitting with them during lunch, introducing them to other students, helping them get their laptops, and ensuring they feel welcomed and cared for at their new school.

Parents were very grateful for the helpful information and extra attention given to our Dual Enrollment Jaguars.
