April was a busy one for Fairlawn’s Student Council, and in the best way possible! Those students really stepped up and showed what it means to care for others and take pride in their school.
They kicked things off by celebrating staff with the sweetest handmade bookmarks. Each one was created by students, and you could tell how much thought and effort went into them—definitely brought lots of smiles around campus! Not long after, they made sure bus drivers felt the love, too. For Bus Driver Appreciation Day, students put together treat bags as a small thank-you for the big job those drivers do getting everyone to and from school safely.
They also came together as a school for Earth Day, and it was such a great reminder of how important it is to take care of the environment. But the moment that really stuck with everyone? Helping rescue a tiny two-week-old kitten. It was such a special experience, and one that the students are still talking about.
Fairlawn is full of big hearts, and April proved just that!
