Treasure Coast High School started their freshmen off strong with their first TCHS t-shirt! Students were provided with their first free shirt to show their Titan pride! Northport K-8 principal, Mr. Rustay, STUCK to his work for our celebration of earning a B school rating. Students and staff took part in taping him to the wall! Students and teachers, who helped pave the way for Northport’s successful year, added piece-by-piece colorful duct tape that affixed Mr. Rustay to the main hallway wall. Palm Pointe celebrated National Rock, Paper, Scissors Day with a friendly competition between our faculty and staff during our Rock, Paper, Scissors Tournament.  Teachers were given a friendship bracelet to begin with and were able to challenge each other during planning and lunch times throughout the day.  Winner took all at the end of the tournament, as colleagues cheered each other on.  Some teachers found creative ways to include their students in the fun, building classroom/school culture, and even using it as an opportunity to teach students about probability.  The chances of Palm Pointe enjoying National Rock, Paper, Scissors Day … Read More

Mrs. Miranda Spells’ primary students recently embarked on an exciting literary adventure with the book “Going to the Beach,” diving into the story like true literacy detectives! After reading, students enthusiastically engaged in a creative activity where they illustrated and labeled their own beach scenes. This hands-on project allowed them to identify key story elements, such as the setting (where the story takes place), characters (who the story is about), and important events (what happens in the story). Big news for St. Lucie Public Schools! Treasure Coast High School has officially launched Florida’s first state-approved Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program at a public high school. The Savannah College of Art & Design, or SCAD is one of the most prestigious and respected art schools in the nation. The art students at Fort Pierce Central High School participated in an interactive presentation with Juan Maurico, the Assistant Director of Admissions for SCAD, on Thursday, August 21st. Mrs. Avra hosted juniors and seniors who learned about the school’s majors, new programs, housing, scholarships, and SCAD’s 99% job-placement rate.
