Falcons Dive into Reading and Celebrate Literacy Week

Lakewood Park Elementary students, families, and community members enjoyed an engaging and fun-filled week for Celebrate Literacy Week.  Monday kicked off the week with community guest readers in each and every classroom.  Throughout the week students enjoyed buddy reading, themed dress-up days, and a Family Dinner and Literacy Night event. We would like to give a special shoutout to all of the community members and families that participated to make this a special week for our students!

Cybersecurity Program Highlighted at Florida Career Pathways Network Symposium

The Career & Technical Education Department attended and presented at the Florida Career Pathways Network Symposium.  The presentation was focused on the Cybersecurity program at Lincoln Park Academy with Mr. Alan Mathison.  Mr. Mathison presented details on the Cybersecurity grant and technological advances newly implemented at Lincoln Park Academy for middle to high school students enrolled in the program.

St. Lucie Public School RISEs

The SLPS Talent Development Department had an amazing day with new teachers on the first of five Refining and Improving Starting Educators (RISE) 2 days for 2022-2023! RISE 2 days are designed to provide ongoing support and professional learning sessions to support teachers’ instructional strategies, classroom practice, and behavior management.  The Classroom Management Panel session also provided teachers an opportunity to ask questions and gain targeted support from Deans, Behavior Support Specialists, Behavior Analysts, Culture & Learning Environment Specialists, Exceptional Student Education Specialists, MTSS Specialists, School Psychologists, and School Counselors.  We are grateful to the St. Lucie County Education Foundation … Read More
