Band Directors Fine Tune Skills in Rhythm and Jazz

The Jazz Band from Treasure Coast High School and musicians from Palm Pointe Educational Research School at Tradition served as the “Clinic Band” for a professional development offered to area band directors.  The focus was on Rhythm Sections and Jazz Bands. The Blue Bird Education Foundation sponsored professional musician Brian Menendez to aid in facilitating the training opportunity. #SLPSLMedici  

National Custodial Workers Day

National Custodial Workers Day 2018 is Tuesday, October 2, 2018 in the USA. National Custodial Workers Day is sometimes referred to as National Custodial Workers Recognition Day or National Custodian Appreciation Day,  but they do all aim for the same thing — thank our custodial workers for what they do every day. We appreciate the duties and responsibilities fulfilled by our custodial teams. The results of their work, namely clean and safe environments, are important and indeed recognizable. Thank you!

Northport Celebrates “Dads Bring Your Children to School!”

Northport dads Rock! This year we had an unprecedented number of dads join for a light breakfast and a special time to fellowship with other children and their dads. It was a wonderful event that was a super success. Dads pledged to support their children and their children’s teachers. They also promised to stay informed about their children’s behavioral and academic progress and encourage their children every day. WE LOVE OUR DADS @NP.

LPA and Dads: Combo for Success!

On Wed. Sept. 26, we were privileged to host LPA dads as they brought their children to school, showing their committed support in their children’s education and social and emotional well-being. During our time together, we recognized, appreciated, and encouraged dads to continue partnering with LPA and together we will equip “our children” with the knowledge, skills, and desire to succeed. LPA is proud of our dads!

Northport Media Center Teaches the Value of a Dollar!

@NP, students earn SAIL Notes for PBIS or Positive Behavior Intervention Support. So many community partners, such as First United Methodist Church, volunteers, Cindy Cairo, Women of the Moose and so many individual donors give school supplies and books to the children of our school. We have shirts donated by Joe the Biker with an anti-bullying logo and so many more items that need to get into the hands of our kids.
