A Thankful Celebration at MSE

Morningside Elementary celebrated Thanksgiving by giving to others.  Students brought in food and decorated boxes to send home to our wonderful Grace Packs families.  Our Kindergarten also celebrated with their annual POW WOW.  They dressed up in costumes they made and parents brought in an abundance of  “authentic”  Thanksgiving  food for the students to sample.

Parkway Turkey Feathers

Maria Gerardi was the winner of this year’s PTO Turkey Feathers contest!  Students bought turkey feathers for their favorite teacher and the teacher with the most feathers was honored to wear our turkey costume.  Mrs. Gerardi had 124 feathers bought in her name.  She is seen here with Miss Jean offering her some stuffing.

White City Elementary Kindergarten Learns About Native American Indians

The Kindergarten students at White City Elementary School read books and learned about Native American Indians while studying a unit on People and Events of Now and Long Ago.  The students were able to make their own vest and head dress decorating them with Native American symbols to wear to our Thanksgiving meal in the cafeteria.
