Saturday, August 20th, SLPS school psychologists and school counselors provided Youth Mental Health First Aid training for the city of Ft. Pierce Firehawks football and cheerleading coaches who coach youth ages 5-14. The purpose of the training was to provide the volunteers with tools and resources to support students that may be experiencing mental health challenges. The feedback received from the participants was very positive. We are grateful for the opportunity to provide this training for community volunteers that support our youth.
