Weatherbee Elementary K-2 Students Do Yoga

Did you know yoga helps your brain and body grow stronger? In PE, our K–2 students have been exploring yoga as part of our Educational Movement unit. Through stretching, breathing exercises, and mindful movement, students are discovering how yoga improves focus, calmness, strength, flexibility, and balance! They are learning how to control their breathing, different yoga poses, how to practice self-awareness, and build confidence while having fun. Yoga also supports coordination and helps students manage stress in healthy ways. We are so proud of the effort and enthusiasm our young learners bring to each session as they strengthen both their minds and bodies together!
