At Manatee Academy, student support is always within reach. For quite some time, Dean Wallman and Dean Damas have implemented a unique approach we proudly call “Deans on Wheels.” While they continue to manage responsibilities from their offices, they also travel throughout grade level pods and hallways with mobile carts, bringing discipline directly to students and classrooms. The Annual FPC Staff Spring BBQ: A Cobra Tradition

As the warm Florida sun shone brightly over the campus of Fort Pierce Central High School, the staff came together for a much-needed break and celebration on the last Friday before spring break. The annual Staff BBQ, a tradition cherished by teachers, custodial, clerical, paraprofessional support staff, and administrators alike, was once again a resounding success. CAST 8th Grade Students Joined Researchers/Scientists at Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute

CAST 8th-grade students joined researchers/scientists at Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute on a unique boat field trip.  Students had an opportunity to participate in marine science research that supports their science units of study. Students also participated in interactive activities and a Q&A with marine scientists as well. A special thank you to Miss Burch and Mrs. Church for organizing this learning opportunity for CAST students.

Wildlife Warriors: Morningside Elementary Students for Everglades Animals

We are extremely proud of these Amazing Blue Jays! Our 4th graders completed their first Everglades lesson of the school year with a big project about the Everglades animals that need our help. X Marks the Spot for MSE 2nd Graders

Ahoy Mateys and Scalawags! After completing their unit on Maps and Globes, students in Mrs. Eibl’s class donned their hats and patches to create a Pirate Treasure Map with all the components of maps: they named the map and island, labeled oceans, created a map key, compass rose, and directions to the buried treasure. Arrggghh!

SOMS Hispanic Heritage Celebration

Southern Oaks Middle School launched Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations by placing flags from Hispanic countries in our Hawks cafeteria. In addition, Ms. Ramirez displayed incredible projects from her World Language classes. Students chose a Hispanic country to research and created various displays to show off culture, food, celebrations, and history.

SLWK8 MySchool Students Create Recyclable Art!

MySchool Science Resource classes at St. Lucie West K-8 School have been learning all about recycling and created a variety of items made from recycled goods from their own homes. The original assignment was to create friendship bracelets from recycled, plastic shopping bags, however, some students took the challenge to fuel inspiration on more elaborate projects. AWESOME JOB SHARKS!
