Eagle Culture Day at St. Lucie West Centennial High School was a huge success! Our auditorium was filled with students for exciting grade-level assemblies packed with energy and important information. Students learned about school-wide expectations, graduation requirements, and all the fun ahead, including Spirit Week. The day opened with a moving presentation of the colors by our outstanding JROTC Color Guard and closed with an unforgettable performance by our talented band, cheerleaders, and dance team. Southern Oaks Middle School Math Boot Camp was a success! We had 72 students attend on Saturday, April 29th. Our SOMS’s math experts provided our students with short and focused math workshops to help our students improve their F.A.S.T. math skills. In addition, our students enjoyed grilled hotdogs, compliments of administration, to end the day with a celebration of their efforts and success on the upcoming state assessments. Southern Oaks Middle School faculty and staff kicked off with a “Rock the Test” celebration to encourage our students as they begin the testing season. The SOMS family wore rock attire, wrote inspiring messages for our students located at the entrance of each building, and cheered our students throughout the entire day. We also had our SOMS band play the “HAWK chant” as students entered campus. It is a great day to be a HAWK! HAWKS SOAR!  

  Discovery Day, hosted by IRSC, was an exciting day for our Southern Oaks Middle School students to explore the programs offered at their local high schools, as well as the programs offered at Indian River State College. IRSC showcased their current trade programs and dual enrollment opportunities. Southern Oaks Feeder High Schools: Port Saint Lucie, Fort Pierce Central, and St. Lucie West Centennial showcased their programs such as : Culinary Medical Computers Art JROTCAnd more. Today our students spent time with Southern Oaks Middle School SRD to experience what it is like to be a School Resource Deputy! Students were provided with a special badge and explored the famous patrol car. Students enjoyed turning on the lights, activating the sirens, and spoke on the PA system. HAWKS S.O.A.R! Southern Oaks Middle School is excited to announce that our Grade Level meeting to kick off the new school year was a huge success!  Principal Lehman, Assistant Principal Boria, and 6th Grade Hawk Academy lead, Ms. Strachan reviewed the HAWK expectations and introduced key people on campus to support our students. Hawks are ready to begin the new year with success and soar to excellence! Go HAWKS!
