Many thanks to SLPS School Board Member, Dr. Donna Mills and her husband, Pastor Kenneth Mills. The Mills hold a very special place in the heart and soul of all that makes up Northport K-8. Thanks as well to Gertrude Walker, Supervisor of Elections for Saint Lucie County and to Debra Hall, mail in ballot supervisor. Ms. Walker’s words were meaningful and the students were enthralled. Our Black History program was so memorable thanks to these wonderful people who shared their time, knowledge, and experience, as well as their love for our children and teachers. Job well done to Diane Crumpton, Northport K-8 guidance counselor for organizing the beautiful event, and thank you to band director, Ricardo Renelus, and drama teacher, Allison Barajas for providing entertainment.
