Incoming sixth graders had an exciting and engaging morning at Southport Middle School during their transition camp. The event was designed to help students acclimate to their new environment by introducing them to SPMS expectations and encouraging social interaction through various activities. One of the highlights was a campus-wide scavenger hunt, which allowed students to explore and learn the layout of the school. Breakfast and lunch were provided, ensuring students were well-fed and energized throughout the day. Families also participated in a morning meeting where they received valuable information about the school’s achievements, including its A rating. The camp successfully fostered a welcoming atmosphere and helped students build connections with peers and staff.
