Southport Middle School teachers spent a wonderful week engaged in meaningful learning as they prepared to welcome students back to campus. Throughout the week, teachers collaborated with colleagues, shared ideas, and strengthened instructional practices to ensure a successful start to the school year. They participated in a variety of professional learning sessions focused on curriculum, classroom culture, and effective teaching strategies. This time allowed teachers to reflect, refine, and reconnect with their purpose as educators. We also extend our appreciation to Mrs. Power from student services for presenting an informative session on classroom management strategies, which provided valuable tools for creating positive and structured learning environments. The week was filled with teamwork and growth, demonstrating the dedication our staff brings to supporting every student.
